Every day at CoAction, I see firsthand how one small act can completely change the direction of a family’s life. We serve five counties across Northwest Indiana, and the need grows bigger every year — more families on the edge of losing their homes, more seniors trying to navigate resources alone, more individuals simply needing someone who will listen and help them find stability. Here’s the reality: $1,600 can divert a family from homelessness before they lose everything. $44 allows someone to file their taxes for free and often receive a refund that makes all the difference. $6 helps an individual get connected to the exact resources they need. These are not abstract numbers — they are real, local people who count on CoAction when there’s nowhere else to turn.
